About Composer Robin Gilmore
As a diverse composer with many interests among many influences and experiences, I have discovered the magic of staying fluid and allowing those vital spectrums of schooling to penetrate and shape me as an artist. For example, my love for musical theater and full orchestra has merged allowing me to write for both, simultaneously, as I continue to work on my original musical titled, "Secret From Within".
I am presently in two choirs where I am honing my skills as a vocalist, sight reader and brushing up on my ear traing as well as studying works to improve my skills as a choral composer.
Along with finishing the musical pursuits I have had to take short recesses from, being the mother of a toddler, I would also like to eventually expand my knowlege of composing world music, as well as pursue the study of percussion instruments with my son when he is a little older.
